See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil

For so long I wanted to make some sculptures based around this theme so when I was trying to work out how to make a lightweight sculpture of a Dryad for an outdoor exhibition I decided to make some maquettes to work out how the larger piece could be made. My solution was to make a wire armature covered in tin foil. Then using the wrapping technique I developed when working on the Sketches in Tyres series I created the ‘skin’ from dyed black calico.
